Cannon County is a county located in the state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population is 12,826. Its county seat is Woodbury6.
Geography

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 12,826 people, 4,998 households, and 3,643 families residing in the county. The population density is 19/km² (48/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 96.87% White, 1.46% Black or African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.81% from two or more races. 1.22% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

The county was named for former Tennessee governor Newton Cannon.
