Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 938 km² (362 mi²). 933 km² (360 mi²) of it is land and 5 km² (2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.52% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 16,149 people, 6,660 households, and 4,535 families residing in the county. The population density is 17/km² (45/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.16% White, 0.29% Black or African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.59% from two or more races. 0.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
