Grayson County is a county located in the state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population is 24,053. Its county seat is Leitchfield6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,323 km² (511 mi²). 1,305 km² (504 mi²) of it is land and 19 km² (7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.40% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 24,053 people, 9,596 households, and 6,966 families residing in the county. The population density is 18/km² (48/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.26% White, 0.50% Black or African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. 0.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
