Bath County is a county located in the state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population is 11,085. Its county seat is Owingsville, Kentucky6.

Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 735 km² (284 mi²). 724 km² (279 mi²) of it is land and 12 km² (4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.58% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 11,085 people, 4,445 households, and 3,195 families residing in the county. The population density is 15/km² (40/mi²). There are 4,994 housing units at an average density of 7/km² (18/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 96.87% White, 1.85% Black or African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.02% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.66% from two or more races. 0.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 4,445 households out of which 32.30% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.70% are married couples living together, 10.30% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.10% are non-families. 25.30% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.00% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 2.93.
In the county the population is spread out with 24.20% under the age of 18, 8.60% from 18 to 24, 28.80% from 25 to 44, 23.80% from 45 to 64, and 14.60% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 97.60 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.80 males.
