North Little Rock is a city located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 60,433.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 121.6 km² (47.0 mi²). 116.1 km² (44.8 mi²) of it is land and 5.6 km² (2.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.58% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 60,433 people, 25,542 households, and 16,117 families residing in the city. The population density is 520.7/km² (1,348.6/mi²). There are 27,567 housing units at an average density of 237.5/km² (615.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 62.55% White, 33.98% Black or African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.59% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.18% from other races, and 1.26% from two or more races. 2.42% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 25,542 households out of which 28.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.9% are married couples living together, 17.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.9% are non-families. 32.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.35 and the average family size is 2.97.
In the city the population is spread out with 25.5% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 87.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 82.9 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $35,578, and the median income for a family is $43,595. Males have a median income of $31,420 versus $24,987 for females. The per capita income for the city is $19,662. 16.1% of the population and 12.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 26.5% of those under the age of 18 and 11.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
