Orange County is a county located in the state of Indiana. As of 2000, the population is 19,306. The county's county seat is Paoli, Indiana6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,057 km² (408 mi²). 1,035 km² (400 mi²) of it is land and 22 km² (9 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.13% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 19,306 people, 7,621 households, and 5,342 families residing in the county. The population density is 19/km² (48/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 97.90% White, 0.63% Black or African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. 0.56% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
