LaGrange County is a county located in the state of Indiana. As of 2000, the population is 34,909. The county's county seat is Lagrange, Indiana6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,002 km² (387 mi²). 983 km² (380 mi²) of it is land and 19 km² (7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.85% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 34,909 people, 11,225 households, and 8,856 families residing in the county. The population density is 36/km² (92/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 96.74% White, 0.19% Black or African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.92% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. 3.14% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
