Kosciusko County is a county located in the state of Indiana. As of 2000, the population is 74,057. The county's county seat is Warsaw, Indiana6.
The county is named after Polish general Tadeusz Kosciuszko, county seat after capital of Poland.

Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,436 km² (554 mi²). 1,392 km² (538 mi²) of it is land and 44 km² (17 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.04% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 74,057 people, 27,283 households, and 19,998 families residing in the county. The population density is 53/km² (138/mi²). There are 32,188 housing units at an average density of 23/km² (60/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 94.58% White, 0.60% Black or African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 2.94% from other races, and 1.06% from two or more races. 5.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 27,283 households out of which 35.60% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.90% are married couples living together, 8.30% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.70% are non-families. 21.90% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.00% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 3.11.
In the county the population is spread out with 27.80% under the age of 18, 8.70% from 18 to 24, 29.00% from 25 to 44, 22.60% from 45 to 64, and 12.00% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 99.70 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 97.30 males.
