Hudspeth County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 3,344. Its county seat is Sierra Blanca6. The ccounty is named for Claude Benton Hudspeth, a state senator from El Paso.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 11,841 km² (4,572 mi²). 11,839 km² (4,571 mi²) of it is land and 2 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.02% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 87.23% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 1.41% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 8.76% from other races, and 2.09% from two or more races. 75.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,092 households out of which 45.30% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.00% are married couples living together, 11.40% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.90% are non-families. 21.10% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.30% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.03 and the average family size is 3.56.
