Severn Tunnel Junction
|
Severn Tunnel Junction is a small railway station on the western side of the Severn Tunnel at Rogiet (which was the station's name before the tunnel was built) in Monmouthshire, Wales. It lies on the line joining London to Cardiff and Swansea, originally called the Great Western Railway South Wales Line. The junction is with the earlier line from Birmingham and London by way of Gloucester and Chepstow.
The next station to the west is Newport (South Wales). The next stations to the east are at Pilning in South Gloucestershire (through the tunnel) and nearby Caldicot (on the Gloucester line).
