West Ealing railway station
|
Whilst the Great Western Railway was constructed through Ealing in 1836-8, West Ealing railway station was not opened until 1871, when it was called "Castle Hill and Ealing Dene". The station is in Travelcard Zone 3.
The station is now served (no service on Sundays) by First Great Western Link on the routes between Paddington station and Langley and between London Paddington station and Greenford. There are no sevices on the station beyond an intermittently open booking office and a ticket machine.
There are four lines (two for fast services out of Paddington) - but only platforms 3 and 4 exist. There are also the remains of another platform next to platform 4.
