User talk:Fibonacci

Hello. Might I ask why you have noted the screenshots of Pokemon games as GFDL? I presume you don't own the copyright to the games or the characters?. Morwen 17:39, Feb 29, 2004 (UTC)

Welcome

Buon giorno, Fibonacci! Welcome to Wikipedia.

You might want to introduce yourself to the community at the new user log.

Here are some tasks you can do:

You might find these links helpful in creating new pages or helping with the above tasks: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

And once you have an account, you can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.

Again, welcome! - BCorr ¤ Брайен 02:01, Mar 1, 2004 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for your note on the new user log. Thanks for your contributions. If studying math during the day isn't enough for you, you may be interested in Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics, which can always use more help.

Happy editing, Isomorphic 06:29, 1 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi. I saw you listed at this Wikipedia page as someone interested in physics. I wonder if you can provide any help with this page: Why 10 dimensions? I am interested in Ramanujan Modular Functions and how they are used in String Theory. JWSchmidt 20:03, 31 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Regarding FeminineTails.png

Hi. Where did you get http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:FeminineTails.png ? Do you have permission from the author? WhisperToMe 06:05, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Italian grammar

If you're not too busy, could you please fill the Italian language article with more information and links on Italian grammar? Thanks. Peter O. (Talk) 23:09, Oct 15, 2004 (UTC)

Right now I'm very busy with my studies, so I don't think I can do anything. But I will as soon as I can (don't expect it to happen before december, though...). --Fibonacci 19:52, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit&section=new)| talk)

Angel Melendez

Hi Fibo! First of all, thank you for rwading the article about Angel Melendez that I originated. It is always charming to know someone else reads articles originated by me.

Well, I saw "Party Monster", and I read about Michael Alig. I also used several Internet references, such as this one:

one can find many features about Mr. Melendez here (http://americanmafia.com/).

The fact I am interested in Latin Americans and I am Puerto Rican, and he lived in New York, New York, which made me think there was a possibility he was Puerto Rican, were also intriguing to me. He was, in fact, a Colombian.

When originating articles, I realize we need to do research and stay as close to the information on other artickles, without adding or leaving anything out, but , at the same way, creating the article in our own way. Because this is a factual encyclopedia, I try to keep as close to a subject's information as I can.

I suppose youre from Italy or Argentina. In either case, Im an aviation fan and Alitalia and Aerolineas Argentinas are among my favorite airlines!

Thanks for everything and God bless you!

Sincerely yours, "Antonio He-Man Martin"

Well, I wasn't expecting you to answer in my talk page! I'll copy your answer in your talk page and continue there the discussion, for I don't think you read mine as often as yours. ;) --Fibonacci 00:37, 22 Dec 2004

Dear Fibo: Hi! First of all, let me welcome tyou to Latin America. I hope you enjoy Colombia, although I imagine you must miss Europe. Here in the United States (just a few hours away from Lat. Am.) I miss Latin America so I imagine you miss Italy.

As far as Latin America I have only gone to Puerto Rico (obviously, I was born there, :) ) the Dominican Republic and Mexico. But, when I went to Mexico, while my friends were drinking beers, I was going through a nostalgic trip because I was back where my roots were founded at (Latin America). I have never been to Colombia personally but I love my fellow Latin Americans and what goes on in Colombia worries me a lot.

Milan is a beautiful city as well, the city of fashion modeling. And I must congratulate you for being an Italian also. I know Italians are as proud of their heritage as us Latinos are. Much brotherly love to the paisanos from here!!

About Melendez, well, that was done about two weeks ago so I dont exactly remember the website, but I did find out hes Colombian somewhere. Otherwise I wouldnt have written it there because, well you know, like all Wikipedians, I want this encyclopedia to be taken seriously by newcomers and for them to see that we are "da place", as they say in the States urban talk :)

By the way, Im a protrstant Christian, newborn at the age of 14. But I thank God that youre a Christian too. Catholic, protestant......we all love the same God. One of my dreams is to see all churches united into one church only someday. I thank God that your soul is His.

Well, amigo I have to go. Thanks and God bless you! Hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely yours, "Antonio Latino Puro Martin" 10:20, Dec 21, 2004 (MST) (PS: Since I like all commercial aviation topics, how about that Avianca, ah? I think they're awesome...:) )

Response to Invitation (in Spanish)

Separation axioms

Hi Fibonacci. I notice you uploaded Image:RegularSpace.png and Image:NormalSpace.png. Perhaps you could put those at the Commons? See Commons:Topology, where the same two GIF files need to be replaced. (While you're at it, perhaps you could fix the CamelCase titles? "Normal space.png" and "Regular space.png" are a little nicer.) dbenbenn | talk 05:58, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hello. Sorry, I currently have an account only on the English and Spanish Wikipedias, and on Meta. But okay... I'll create one on Commons and upload, then. I wonder if it's worth creating an account only to upload a couple of files, though... --Fibonacci 06:11, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Well, it only takes about 5 seconds. I mean, I have an account on the Spanish Wikipedia, and I don't even know Spanish. :) dbenbenn | talk 06:48, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Oh! Well, in that case... nothing, for I've already uploaded the images. ;) --Fibonacci 07:20, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Los Andes University

There are several Los Andes universities in Colombia, therefore it must be specified the article talks about Los Andes University in Bogotá. Leave it alone. Kapil

There are several Los Andes universities in Colombia, therefore it must be specified the article talks about Los Andes University in Bogotá.

How do you know that? I live here, and I've heard of only one Universidad de Los Andes.

Leave it alone.

You leave it alone.

Kapil

Universidad de los Andes

I study at the Universidad de los Andes, you moronic cuntsucker. Leave it the fuck alone. There's Universidad de los Andes everywhere. Kapil

I study at the Universidad de los Andes,

Me too.

you moronic cuntsucker.

Oh, how kind of you!

Leave it the fuck alone.

Why the aggressive tone?

There's Universidad de los Andes everywhere.

Yes, there's one in Chile to. But Chile is not in Colombia.

Kapil

Universidad de los andes

You're right, there's only one in Colombia. I thought there was one in Cali but I was mistaken. Please accept my apologies, especially for calling you a cuntsucker. Kapil

You're right, there's only one in Colombia.

Told ya! ;)

I thought there was one in Cali but I was mistaken.

Why did you think so?

Please accept my apologies, especially for calling you a cuntsucker.

Apologies accepted. In the future, please remember to stay cool and don't mount personal attacks.
Where do you study, by the way? In the same Uniandes I do?

Kapil

--Fibonacci 01:18, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Kapil 17:46, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

--Fibonacci 06:47, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

biography.ms

Hi Fibonacci, Did you receive any reply from the email you sent these people regarding their non-compliance with the GDFL? This site is starting to rank very high on Google searches, and people are still tagging Wikipedia articles as copyvios based on this site not crediting us. I'm wondering what more we can do.--Duk 15:19, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

No answer yet - I'm starting to suspect the didn't even read my message. I don't want to wait for this problem to be magically solved, but I don't know what more to do. If there is something more I can do to help (to take this site down - it seems the only possible solution), please tell me - I'll be more than happy to help! --Fibonacci 02:53, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
