East Millcreek is a census-designated place located in Salt Lake County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 21,385, a minute increase over the 1990 figure of 21,184.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.5 km² (4.4 mi²). 11.5 km² (4.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 21,385 people, 7,479 households, and 5,564 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,855.5/km² (4,801.6/mi²). There are 7,707 housing units at an average density of 668.7/km² (1,730.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 95.04% White, 0.43% African American, 0.14% Native American, 1.45% Asian, 0.26% Pacific Islander, 1.08% from other races, and 1.59% from two or more races. 2.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 7,479 households out of which 33.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.2% are married couples living together, 9.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% are non-families. 20.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.82 and the average family size is 3.31.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 26.8% under the age of 18, 10.0% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 94.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.9 males.
