Caldwell is a city located in Canyon County, Idaho. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 25,967. The city is the county seat of Canyon CountyTemplate:GR.
Caldwell is the home of Albertson College of Idaho.

Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 25,967 people, 8,963 households, and 6,354 families residing in the city. The population density is 884.1/km² (2,289.3/mi²). There are 9,603 housing units at an average density of 327.0/km² (846.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 75.07% White, 0.47% African American, 0.94% Native American, 0.83% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 19.68% from other races, and 2.91% from two or more races. 28.14% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 8,963 households out of which 39.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.7% are married couples living together, 13.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.1% are non-families. 23.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.79 and the average family size is 3.30.
In the city the population is spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 13.1% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who are 65 years of age or older.
