Zulte is a municipality located in Flanders and in the Flemish province of East Flanders, in Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Machelen, Olsene and Zulte proper. On January 1st, 2004 Zulte had a total population of 14,548 (7,265 males and 7,283 females). The total area is 32.52 km² which gives a population density of 447.31 inhabitants per km².
The town used to brew its own beer since 1891 (simply called Zulte) but nowadays, they are part of Alken-Maes breweries. The main football club from Zulte merged with K.S.V. Waregem to form a Belgian Second Division team called S.V. Zulte-Waregem.
