Welcome to Wikipedia, Alexander! I hope you find lots to do around here. Do you have a link to the zine article? -- Stephen Gilbert 19:40 Mar 7, 2003 (UTC)
Hi Stephen and thanks for the welcoming :) I am afraid I am a beginner here and I don't quite understand you. Can you explain me what do you mean by « do you have a link to the zine article » ? :)
Hi Webkid. You put on your user page "When I saw a review of wikipaedia in one of our web e-zines...". Stephen is referring to this above. Do you have a link to this e-zine so that it can be added to Wikipedia:Friends_of_Wikipedia/Press_coverage--English or Wikipedia:Friends_of_Wikipedia/Press_coverage--Non-English Mintguy
Oh, now I see. I'll place a link at that Press_coverage--Non-English. :)
No problem - your English is very good, so there wasn't much to do. Jim
Re: you mistaking that Charlie Chaplin was taken from somewhere.
Politeness is valued here, but in this case, there's no need to apologize to the "author" of that Chaplin article, because there's no "one defined author" here in Wiki, only contributors. Don't worry about the mistake! It's great that you took the initiative and tried to warn us on the Wikipedia:Votes for deletion. Don't hesitate to do that again (even if you think you may be wrong). Mistakes are fine here, we accept those because we make them ourselves too. We just don't like intentional "errors" (Internet trolling). --Menchi 23:50 16 Jul 2003 (UTC)
- Oh, thanks for explaining this to me. You were very helpful. :) -- Webkid
About John Barnes in Liverpool FC - if you check Wikipedia:Disambiguation it says that normally the disambiguation page should not be linked - no one looking for information on the soccer player would be interested that there is a science fiction author with the same name. andy 10:24, 2 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Yes, you're right. I'm sorry; I didn't know Wikipedia's policy on disambiguation pages. Believe it or not, I read this page 1-2 minutes ago, and I was about to rv my edit.
Anyway, thank you for stimulating me to read this long Wikipedia:Disambiguation page. :) webkid 11:16, 2 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Great job adding the history of Greyhound racing! --Menchi 00:02, 7 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying the Richmond link on Walter Tevis. —Minesweeper 15:07, 13 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Hi Webkid, if you check this page http://www.nsi.bg/Population/Naselenie2002.htm you will see that the population of Varna is 313 400 and not 462K as you have updated
- I saw it now.. what a regrettable mistake! By the way, if you're a Bulgarian, please come and join us at the Bulgarian Wikipedia! --webkid 12:36, 29 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Webkid- I noticed that you created the article on William Gillette. I was wondering if this is the same guy who invented the modern safety razor. Please see Talk:William Gillette. Do you know where I could find this out? If it's the case, this information should be added to his article. If not, there should be a disambiguation. - DropDeadGorgias (talk) 03:51, Mar 10, 2004 (UTC)

Flowers
The middle one is a passion flower (P. Caerulea). I have two growing in my garden (well they look dead at the moment but should put a spurt on soon) They are a climbing plant and they produce bright orange fruit, with red flesh but lot's of seeds in the autumn. I think you can eat the friut, but i couldn't be bothered with all the seeds. theresa knott 15:43, 10 May 2004 (UTC)

Wondering if you could help
Hi, I just noticed on the recent changes that you added a message in the form of bg:something to an article. I've also seen messages with ja, pl and some others in place of bg but I can't find any information about what these messages do. Could you point me in the right direction? --Starx 00:11, 14 May 2004 (UTC)
Thanx for the info :) --Starx 01:27, 14 May 2004 (UTC)
Bulgaria's nationhood
Please don't post comments specifically regarding a single edit in a single article to user talk pages, that way it's harder to track them. I'll answer you in Talk:List of countries by date of nationhood where this discussion belongs. --Joy [shallot] 20:52, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Yerevan population
Can I ask where you got the figures for Yerevan's population in 2004? As far as I know no official census has been conducted recently. --Aramgutang 20:51, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks, I changed the article to show both figures, since it's an estimate. The entire red area is in fact just the city, you can check out more detailed area maps at [1] (http://www.cilicia.com/rediscover_ma.html). --Aramgutang 22:16, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project
Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)
Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit§ion=new)| talk)

Unverified images
Hi. You uploaded Image:Bgregions.png but did not list any source and/or copyright information on the image description page. Please mark it either as GFDL or public domain. See Image copyright tags for more info. If the image was uploaded in error or cannot be licensed for use on Wikipedia, please add it to images for deletion. Please note that images without copyright information may be deleted in the future. Thanks. RedWolf 22:49, Dec 31, 2004 (UTC)
Maps of Bulgaria with a red dot : GFDL, not PD
Hi, note that the template and all the maps I created with a red dot for places in Bulgaria are released with the licence GNU FDL and are not in the public domain (there is a big difference).
If you wish to upload and use them, in order to comply with the GFDL please do add the copyright note saying who is the author (otherwise someone might think it is you), your source (bg.wikipedia) and the template "GFDL". Cheers. --5ko 16:33, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Good job on Blagoevgrad. I was thinking of expanding the article myself and adding the infobox. But now I don't have to do that. ;) --rydel 00:59, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)
