Murmur
Why did you remove personnel from the Murmur (album) list? heidimo 06:13, 27 May 2004 (UTC)
politics
gedday, just for the record i've never voted Liberal in my life... but I am concerned about critical links as criticism is really the role of the opposing party. It just seems like a controversy that could be legitamately skipped by letting the political parties play their role... just a thought, best wishes Erich 03:19, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- But its probably POV to only state the views of one side in an encylcopedia.. even if it is the side of the party that the article is about. -Aaron Hill 06:31, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- the problem with all external links is they have their own agenda (without having even looked at the ones you have added - so i talk of principles). To me, an internal link to all the opposition parties provides a more reliable, verifiable, summary of the alternatives... but you clearly care more than me so i will retract again to my fields of interest. good work with the Age masthead - care to do one for the Herald Sun? PMA 23:32, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)
--- Hey, I know you, I live in Adelaide too! Good work. --[maestro] 09:10, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Heh, I think for the sake of dignity The Heights School website should not be on that list... even the "Sorry, page not completed" page hasn't been completed ^_^
Melbourne articles
Hey there, I don't know if you've checked up on the WikiProject Melbourne recently, but a few of us have decided to adopt an article or two. The idea is to pick a lacking article and "be in charge" of it - do the research, writing, maybe even picture-taking. We're trying to build up the number of qualiy articles, instead of thinly-spread stubs. Don't feel you have to do anything :), but if you want, pick an article and add yourself to the list. Australian wikipedians' message board
Hi Aaron. I've created a page (with an idea blatantly plagiarised from our Irish counterparts) where any interested Australians can get together and coordinate efforts to fill some of the (rather large) holes in Australian content. If you're interested, it's at Wikipedia:Australian wikipedians' notice board. Any assistance you could give would be appreciated. Ambi 05:56, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
New "Torrens Title" page.
Have started new page on Torrens Title, which was of course invented in South Australia.
Aaron does not seem have have this one on his list.

Torrens Title again.
Thank you Aaron for redoing the Torrens Title Page so quickly. TT is something all South Australians can be proud of (plus Australians in general).
I have put in both way links to and from the Mortgage and Easement pages, to help give TT a bit more credit and exposure.

Gay and lesbian members of parliament
I saw your edit summary comment on Bob Brown - to the best of my knowledge, Brown was the first openly gay senator, Brian Greig the second, and Penny Wong the first lesbian. Ambi 06:30, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- No worries. I'd have done the same, and if he gives us any more trouble, I'll start looking through the blocking policy to see what can be done. Ambi 06:41, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Adelaide city infobox
Hi Aaron, I noticed your addition of the infobox to the Adelaide page, which looks great. I noticed other cities' articles are lacking similar information. I was planning on adding them - do you have a specific sources for the data (so that I don't use conflicting info?) -- Chuq 06:49, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Nomination vote
Hey, thanks for the vote! A real confidence boost, especially when I'm feeling down =) - Ta bu shi da yu 12:43, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Sir Robert Menzies
Hi Aaron. I was wondering why you put Robert Menzies' date of death as 10 October 2004 in the infobox you added to his page. I saw it, and looked in the history for the anonymous user who had (I thought) vandalised the page, but was shocked to realise you had added it. Was this a mistake? Or some sort of political statement relating to the outcome of the federal election? (if it is, I don't understand it). I have fixed it up now. - Mark 13:46, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I jumped to conclusions. Sorry. :) - Mark 06:06, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
frame vs floating
Believe it or not I actually prefer the "unframed" style as it takes up less space and looks more like an encyclopedia, it is a touch self-righteous on your part to assume that my way is "incorrect" and to make suggestions that I learn to do it your way (FYI I made two seperate previews and compared the framed vs floating look before deciding to go with the floating version). In any case I'll accept the will of the people, I seem to be in the minority in preferring unframed images.
I've had a recent run-in with an Australian ex-pat on another page (concerning a caption) it would be rather disappointing if wikipedia is filled with Australians thinking that their creative preferences are inherently "right". I only joined less than a month ago, I hope this isn't the typical wikipedia experience.
I know you were trying to help but this was a case of creative differences.
Election FAC
I responded on the page, but do you really think it's necessary to object because there are a handful of seats still undecided? They're unlikely to change radically now, and the article is being updated with the handful of very minor developments just about daily by Adam and others. It just seems to me like a bit of a waste of time to have to put this through FAC again in two weeks time because of this. Ambi 09:39, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Starta Title follows on from Torrens Title
Following on from you contribultion on Torrens Title, now in Category: Property law, would you be able to add a few words on Strata Title??
Syd1435 06:54, 2004 Oct 25 (UTC)
ALP and White Australia
It is annoying, but I feel we should try a bit more dialogue. I've left a message at his talk page, hopefully he'll respond to that. I think he's got into his head that were all a cabal of conservative editors: hopefully we can at least disabuse him of that notion. Lacrimosus 03:50, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
O-Bahn
Hi! Your edit on O-Bahn caused the loss of some information to that article. Please make sure all info stays included in the article unless you know it to be factually incorrect, or make a redirect to a more complete article (again making sure no info is lost). Thank you for your time. Mgm|(talk) 11:34, Nov 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Since you moved the info to another article, O-Bahn was left with less info. Maybe making a redirect to the page you moved it to is a good idea, so people don't run into the page you removed the info from. Mgm|(talk) 11:40, Nov 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Yep, I just read your msg on the O-Bahn talk page. Are you happy with keeping the info on both pages? Mgm|(talk) 11:43, Nov 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick responses. I'll be eagerly awaiting the additions. You're right, if the changes you suggested are made, there's no more overlap to worry about. Please let me known when you finish and don't forget to mention the difference between a tram and an O-Bahn. :) Mgm|(talk) 11:56, Nov 8, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit§ion=new)| talk)
