I asked my friends to edit this for me and they added: All-around cool guy. Good listener, introspective. Collector of small fox plushes and old Macintosh and Apple computers. Really good friend. Thanks, y'all. :-)
My AIM ID is "brian@mac.com". Feel free to message me to say hi! If you have a problem with edits I've made to a particular article, however, I prefer to discuss that on the article's Talk page (rather than over IM or email) so that other Wikipedians can share in the discussion and offer suggestions.

My reason for this is that I want to retain the rights to my images, and keep them available for non-commercial use, and prevent anyone else from earning money on my work. I have been told that noncommercial-use licenses are not allowed on Wikipedia, though I don't understand why this would be, and I've been looking and asking for an explanation of this and for reasons why I would want to allow other people to profit from my work.
About external links
Wikipedia is not a link repository. It's not meant to provide every possible link relevant to a subject. Filling the External Links with every article and fan site on a subject just makes for a big External Links section and leads to more dead links, more unimportant sites which want to be listed 'cos everybody else is, and more bickering over who should have the top spot on the list. Keep the External Links short and simple. Let users use Google or DMoz.org if they want to find other sites on a subject.
The External Links section of a Wikipedia article should only contain links to:
- primary news sources
- well-established fan sites which directly contribute to the factual information covered in the article
External Links should not contain links to:
- discussion boards
- web sites which happen to be on the same topic as the article but are otherwise not definitive sources of information
- advertising sites
- small personal fan pages (especially ones hosted on a free account like Geocities)
- news articles which only cover one small aspect of the issue at hand (these should be linked in the relevant part of the Wikipedia article itself)
In particular, if an External Link entry seems to be worded so as to hype itself up - like, "The Internet's best site for X" or "The largest collection of X on the web" - then it's probably only there to get hits, not because it makes the article more complete.
Did you know?
If you want to remove the parenthetical part of any link - like, say, you want to link to the Galactic Republic (Star Wars) without having "Star Wars" appear in the link - then you don't need to spell out [[Galactic Republic (Star Wars)|Galactic Republic]]. Just put the pipe character with nothing following it, like [[Galactic Republic (Star Wars)|]], and it'll remove anything in parentheses from the link, turning it into Galactic Republic.
Articles
I edit boldly. These are some of the articles I've put work into, many of which I've created or completely rewritten.
Categories
These are some of the general categories in which I consider myself knowledgeable. I keep track of this so I can find more articles to work on. Not a complete list yet - I need to go through some articles and gather lots more categories.
