Hall County is a county located in the state of Nebraska. As of 2000, the population is 53,534. Its county seat is Grand Island6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,430 km² (552 mi²). 1,415 km² (546 mi²) of it is land and 15 km² (6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.06% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 53,534 people, 20,356 households, and 14,086 families residing in the county. The population density is 38/km² (98/mi²). There are 21,574 housing units at an average density of 15/km² (40/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 88.67% White, 0.36% Black or African American, 0.31% Native American, 1.09% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 8.19% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. 14.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
