You might want to migrate it elsewhere (try 1and1 (http://www.1and1.com), they have a free offer for three years right now with all the features you'd expect from a paid service, and the uptime is much better). Vietnamese Wikipedia
Hello Mr. Minh Nguyễn! I see that you started to edit on the Vietnames Wikipedia. I hope that you have some Vietnamese speaking friend that could make something of it. I do not speak Vietnamese but I have been working with IT related issues in Vietnam (http://www.isoc-vn.org). I have asked the Wikipedia people to change it in order to write in Unicode but I have not got any response. Do you think that you could "take the lead" and try again? Vietnamese Wikisource
Hi, and thanks for your interest in the Vietnamese Wikisource. Because the trend on Wikisource is to put all languages on one project, language co-ordination will be important there. I've been trying to develop a consistent Master contents list that can be applied with simple translation in any language in the left purple box for every main page. I believe that the right green box should be developed by speakers of that language in a way that suits their purposes. To that end (since the Vietnamese Main Page purple box was not yet translated) I have revised that material to conform with the English main page. - There was a little bit of translated content (some headings, and a link), but I'll retranslate the purple box. The new version seems a little choppy, as there's only one line after each section heading. Viet Cong and Learning Project

Hi there, Cdang told me you knew Vietnamese, so I thought you might help out at the My Lai massacre article, which is protected because people disagree over whether the term "Viet Cong" is appropriate or not. Furthermore, would you be interested in a project about learning I have started, for vocabulary in particular? - First of all, I'm not an expert regarding the Vietnam War. I can tell you that the term Việt Cộng literally means "Vietnamese Communist," but that was already discussed on the Talk page. In my (Midwestern US) experience, the term VC is indeed mildly derogatory. But that's because many (if not all) of the older Vietnamese-Americans in my experience are (to some extent) anti-Communist. There are some Vietnamese and some other Vietnamese-American contributors here; they may be able to help more.
As for your project, I'll take a look at it when I have time. There already is some useful vocabulary at Wikibooks:Vietnamese, Common phrases in different languages, and Wiktionary. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs, blog (http://mxn.f2o.org/index.html)) 18:06, 4 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

I found your note at Lee Lawrie and thanks, the Wired was a bit of a thrill. even for an old codger such as myself. I don't quite understand how the Commons works, and am not likely to spend the time learning, but I do have a lot of pictures spread around elsewhere, like Lawrie, mostly of sculpture. Oh yes, Cincinnati, right? You might consider taking and posting aphoto of the "Standing Lincoln" there by George Grey Barnard, which was a very controversal work in its day. - Barnard's Lincoln statue is located in Lytle Park, near the entrance. By your pig remark I assume that you are referring to the Monument to the Souls of the Pigs that were released to heaven while Cincinnati served as Porkopolis ? Yes, do that one, for sure. While wandering through the WPA Guide To Ohio [1940] i discovered this gem, "Eden Park. Among the statuary of the Park is the Capitoline Wolf Statue, presented by Benito Mussolini to the local Italian community." I wonder if it is still there? So, where are you bound for college? I wonder what happened to the original?" In 1978 I went looking through Rome for the original. i finally discovered it in the Capitoline Museum [the Capitoline was one of the Seven Hills of Rome]. However, I discovered later that when I took a picture of it the flash didn't go off. i still have a black slide in my Rome binder. It's a sore spot. Thanks for the porcine tiour of Cincinnati. The pigs i remember were standing on top of simulated riverboat smoke stacks. Anyway, perhaps a wikipedia piece about the Capitoline Wolf [without my sad story] is in order. IPA template
The IPA template is not just for IPA. All it does is invoke certain fonts (specifically, Arial Unicode MS). When you removed the IPA template from the Chuvash language page, you turned the Chuvash-specific Cyrillic letters into blank boxes for me. The only way I can read that page is with the IPA template. If you don’t like the template’s name, you can create a new template that calls those fonts and then add that one to the page. Otherwise, we need to have the IPA template put back as it was. —Stephen 12:09, 28 May 2005 (UTC)
