Visual System
I think you were the last person to edit and lock this template:
Template:Visual system
It seems to me that in order to be accurate, and internally consistent, the optic tract needs to be added between the chiasm and LGN and the optic radiations between the LGN and visual cortex.
I created optic tract and optic radiations, and rendered LGN from a stub to a full article, in preparation for this.
Would you be willing to edit and re-lock this template? Thanks in advance. Jimhutchins 11:45, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Picasso's paintings
Hi. Did you find Picasso's paintings offered as public domain images somewhere online? Some Japanese Wikipedians are concerned about the copyright status of those images, and we would like to make sure that they are in public domain. There was a lawsuit in Japan involving some uses of images of Picasso's paintings, and some pointed out that Boston Museum of Fine Art has the exact copy of Image:Lola_Picasso_the_Artist's_Sister.jpg on its web site, and that is displayed as copyrighted.
Any info. is appreciated. Thanks! Tomos 12:58, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. I think you are right in that we cannot easily assume public domain status under Japanese law, because Japan has been a signatory of Berne Convention since 1899. Tomos 05:48, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Image:Gestapo Rinnan.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gestapo Rinnan.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit§ion=new)| talk) 19:14, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
Image tag
Hello. I talked to you about Picasso's images before. I have just learned that there is a "PD-US" tag for works that is in the public domain but not necessarily in other jurisdictions. If you are not sure about copyright status in other jurisdictioons of some of the pre-1923 painings, I would like you to consider chaning their tags from PD to PD-US.
Or, if you don't mind, I would change them. Tomos 08:16, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Hi again. I just wanted to thank you for the swift action you took. I used category and lists of works to make sure nothing was left for me to do. Tomos 11:18, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
List of oncology-related terms
Hi Fuelbottle. What are your plans with the list of oncology-related terms? You seem to have created numerous stubs about experimental agents that are in Phase II trials. Furthermore, many terms on the list are not actually oncological (a lot are about HIV), and others do not deserve their own articles or even redirects (stage IV adult non-Hodgkin's lymphoma would not be of anyone's benefit). Please discuss; I may be able to help as well. JFW | T@lk 08:48, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Birthe Neumann
Could you have a glance at the article Birthe Neumann; I did my best to translate and contextualize what someone pasted in in Danish, but it's not a language I know at all well. -- Jmabel | Talk 08:05, Dec 28, 2004 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:Gerhard Klopfer.jpg. Its copyright status is unclear, so it may have to be deleted. Please leave a note on the image page about the source of the image. Thank you.
lots of edits, not an admin
Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. You seem to be not so active lately, but if you're at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 18:47, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)
German images
You uploaded Image:GerhardFlesch.jpg under the tag Template:Tl. Unfortunately, the wording of this tag was inaccurate, and the image is not yet PD. However, it may still be usable under fair use. Could you consider changing the copyright tag to Template:Tl.
I also noticed that Image:Alfred Meyer.jpg is still untagged. The same arguments apply, i.e. the image is not PD, but may be fair use.
Thanks, and keep up the good work. Physchim62 13:17, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
