Prefatory Remarks: I can often be verbose, and my prose bizarre, even unwieldy. But that is how my mind works. I keep my fancies off the encyclopedia page, though there are those who would disagree. Wikipedia will benefit one, like my favorite texts, the Upanishads, only as much as one allows it to. One must inform the source of knowledge with one's own uninhibited intuition while keeping confined vritti (mental agitations) and the baser instincts of animal emotion. Perhaps overstated? If so, it's right on par.

Brief Tableau
Shurjendu Dutt-Mazumdar
Soon to be a freshman in a New England college; decided on mathematics and philosophy.
Bengali (of Kolkata, West Bengal).
I've lived in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah and Riyadh), Mumbai, India, and am now in Manhattan of New York City, New York. I am a proud American citizen, born in San Francisco, but my heart is also Indian. One might call me एक विदेशवाला हिन्दुस्तानि If the Devnagari script looks odd, it is the result of a phenomenon known in some circles as seeming, where the objective reality is obscured by the limits and calibration of your faulty senses (in this case your browser and its settings).
Talk
Interests, Specialities
English (grammar, linguistics and excessive verbiage) Hinduism, India, literature (Joyce, Deconstructionism, etc.), Jurisprudence, music (particularly Hindu mantras, bhajanss, also Bach, classic Rock like The Doors or the Stones, and a touch of electronica: Talvin Singh, DJ Tiesto), Karsh Kale, and philosophy of all sorts (philosophy and literature tend to overlap). In the main, however, I am an aspiring polyglot. In addition to a florid and sometimes atavistic brand of English, I also speak Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu (of course, this implies that I can also speak the bastardized, utilitarian Hindustani) and know intermediate Francais.

The Best Wiki-talk I have yet come across
- "I don't remember where I got this from, probably not a single place; I am currently unable to find anything through google, mainly because of the drone of millions of unthinking people mindlessly repeating what the[y] were told without asking the obvious question drowning out the voice of those who do. My rant is clearly useless without a citation" -- Arvindn
