One ship in the United States Navy has been named USS Bellerophon for Bellerophon, a hero in Greek mythology.
- LST-1132 was reclassified and placed in commission as Bellerophon (ARL-31) in 1945 and decommissioned in 1948.

In the fictional universe of Star Trek, two ships have been given the designation USS Bellerophon.
- USS Bellerophon (NCC-62048) was a Nebula class starship destroyed by the Borg at the Battle of Wolf 359 circa stardate 43997 in 2366. (The official spelling of NCC-62048 is Bellerephon, but this is assumed to be a misspelling.)
- USS Bellerophon (NCC-74705) was one of three Intrepid class starships, and appeared in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges". The starship Bellerophon transported Admiral William Ross, Dr. Julian Bashir and Section 31 deputy director Luther Sloan from Deep Space Nine to Romulus in 2375 during the Dominion War.
