New Barnet is a place in the London Borough of Barnet. It is a largely residential north London suburb with a variety of shops, public houses, restaurants and services. It is close by to the M25, A1 and M1.
New Barnet owed its birth to the building of the Great Northern Railway in 1850, when a station serving Barnet was built, but located about a mile away from the town centre of Barnet.
