Wagn is a franchise operator of commuter train services out of London Kings Cross and Moorgate stations.
Services
- Outer Suburban: services run from Kings Cross to Peterborough, Cambridge and Kings Lynn.
- Inner Suburban: trains run from Kings Cross and Moorgate to Welwyn Garden City and Hertford North, and sometimes Letchworth.
West Anglia
Wagn previously stood for West Anglia Great Northern and operated services from London Liverpool Street to Enfield, Hertford East, Stansted Airport and Cambridge. These services formed the 'West Anglia' part of the WAGN brand and in April 2004 West Anglia services were absorbed into the new one franchise operating all services from Liverpool Street. Both WAGN and one are owned by National Express Group. At this point Wagn stopped referring to itself as West Anglia Great Northern and instead as Wagn, spelling each letter out for automated announcements to avoid the "wagon" pronunciation commonly used by the public.
During the period when timetable reliability was at an all-time low, the expansion We Ain't Going Nowhere became popular with some more cynical travellers, a name which seems to have stuck.
Wagn was originally owned by Prism Rail which was subsequently absorbed by National Express Group.
