A Blue Line train arrives at McPherson Square station.
The station serves downtown Washington, between McPherson Square and Franklin Square. with two entrances on I Street at Vermont Avenue and 14th Street Northwest. This is the main station to access the White House. Service began on July 1, 1977. The Vermont Avenue exit is directly underneath the Central Office of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
