List of mountains of the United States
|
The highest mountains in the U.S. are overwhelmingly located in four states: Alaska (home of 19 of the 20 highest peaks in the U.S.--California's Mt. Whitney rounds out the list), California, Colorado (home of the 16 of the next 20 highest peaks in the U.S.--Mount Rainier in Washington, and 3 in California make up the rest of this group), and Washington.
