Gas may refer to:
- Technically, gas is one of the phases of matter.
- In US English, gas is the common shortened form of gasoline (petrol)
- In chemical warfare, gas is a weapon.
- Gas is also a euphemism for flatulence, burping, or gas/bloat syndrome.
- Colloquially, gas sometimes means "profuse talk, longwindedness", empty talk, or pretentious and inflated talk (bombast).
- In American slang: gas refers to something that gives pleasure ("the party was a gas").
- In welding, gas usually refers to acetylene but can also be Argon, Helium, or Carbon dioxide. See Metal inert gas welding.
- Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) or autogas is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel.
- Natural gas is a mixture of about 80% methane, with varying proportions of ethane, propane and butane, used as a fuel.

- On the Space Shuttle, the GAS is an experiment bay known as the Getaway Special.
