Eungella National Park

Eungella (pronounced YOUNG-ghel-uh, meaning "Land of the clouds") is a national park in Queensland (Australia), 858 km northwest of Brisbane, and 30 km west of Mackay. The original inhabitants are the Gurang-Gurang (goo-rang goo-rang) people. The park is covered by dense rainforest and is known for its platypuses. Mt Dalrymple, the highest peak in Central Queensland (1200 m), is located on the eastern side of the park.
