Carpatair is a regional airline based in Timişoara, western Romania (Transylvania), operating services to 13 destinations in 4 countries. Its main base is Timisoara International Airport (TSR).

Code Data
History
Carpatair was established in 1999 and started operations March 1999 in Cluj-Napoca. It was formed as Veg Air operating one leased Yakovlev Yak-40 from MDV. The present title was adopted in December 1999 when Swiss investors joined the company. The airline is owned by Romanian shareholders (51%) and SC Veg Invest (49%). It employs 327 staff.
One interesting aspect of Carpatair is that it does not fly to Bucharest, the explanation being that it seeks to connect regional airports, especially in Transylvania, to international destinations, since Bucharest is already connected internationally by multiple other airlines. Because it was one of the first airlines to fly internationally from Tranyslvania, it has been very successful in that it has not received much competition from other airlines. It is growing in terms of market share against TAROM and is the second-largest Romanian airline.

- Domestic scheduled destinations: Arad, Bacau, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Oradea, Sibiu and Timisoara.
- International scheduled destinations: Ancona, Bologna, Budapest, Dusseldorf, Florence, Milan, Munich, Rome, Stuttgart, Turin, Venice, Verona and Zagreb.
