Balinese is the language spoken by people in the island of Bali, Indonesia. It is spoken by 3.8 million people, approximately 2.1% of Indonesia's population. It is spoken in Bali, in Lombok and in Java.
Balinese is part of the Austronesian language family, and is closely related to Sasak and Sumbawa.
