Wayne Farris

Roy Wayne Farris (born January 25, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee) is better known as the Honky Tonk Man. He had wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and the National Wrestling Alliance. He was voted by the fans of WWE.com as the Greatest WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time.

Career
At one time, he was managed by Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart.
Farris won several regional tag team titles as one half of the "Blond Bombers" with Larry Latham, who went on to become Moondog Spot.
In the WWF, he won the Intercontinental Title from Ricky Steamboat in 1987 and held it for over a year before being defeated by Ultimate Warrior for the title. He is the self-professed "greatest Intercontinental champion of all time" due to the record 15 months he held the championship. He also formed a tag team called "Rhythm & Blues" with Greg Valentine.
In 1994, he wrestled in WCW and was challenging TV Champion Johnny B. Badd for the title when he left in a dispute with management.
He is the cousin of professional wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler, though the two have a somewhat acrimonious relationship.
