Waiting (1999) | Full Collapse (2001) | Five Stories Falling (2002) |
War All the Time is Thursday's third full-length studio album, following the Five Stories Falling EP that was meant to satiate fans through the long wait between Full Collapse and War All The Time.
The band has stated on numerous occasions that the title is not political, but rather that it reflects the struggles we all face in our daily lives.
Particularly noteworthy on this album are "For The Workforce, Drowning," a song about the monotony of adulthood; "Signals Over The Air," about the general awkwardness and uncertainty that romantic relationships can breed; "War All The Time," a song about growing up in a world that we often don't understand; and "M. Shepard", a song written about Matthew Shepard who was murdered in 1998 for being gay.
MTV refused to air the video for the title track, "War All The Time," stating that it was "too controversial."
This album was produced by Sal Villanueva who has produced CD in the past for Taking Back Sunday and also Full Collapse by Thursday.
