The World Wrestling Entertainment monthly hold an annual pay-per-view event. One event is usually three to four hours long and features six to twelve matches. Pay-per-view events are a big part of the revenue stream for WWE. Along with World Wrestling Entertainment, other professional wrestling organizations hold monthly pay-per-views as well, such as Total Nonstop Action.
Traditionally, World Wrestling Entertainment has a once-a-month pay-per-view schedule, which they had from the late '90s until 2003 totalling to twelve a year. But as of late, they are beginning to produce more pay-per-view events, which totals to approximately fourteen or more.
