Vysehrad cemetery

Established in 1869 on the grounds of Vyšehrad Castle in Prague, Czech Republic, the Vyšehrad cemetery (Vyšehradský hřbitov in Czech) is the final resting place of many composers, artists, sculptors, writers, and those from the world of science and politics. The centrepiece of the cemetery is the Slavín Monument designed by Antonín Wiehl and the cemetery is sometimes referred to as the Slavín cemetery.

- Jaroslav Heyrovský (1890-1967), Nobel prize winning founder of polarography
- Rafael Kubelík (1914-1996), conductor and composer
- Karel Hynek Mácha (1810-1836), romantic poet
- Alfons Mucha (1860-1939), painter
- Josef Václav Myslbek (1848-1922), sculptor
- Jan Neruda (1834-1891), poet, writer
- Božena Němcová (1820-1862), writer, author of the novel The Grandmother
- Olga Scheinpflugová (1902-1968), actress and wife of Karel Čapek
- Bedřich Smetana (1824-1884), composer
- Max Švabinský (1873-1962), painter
- Vlastimil Visar (1926-1991), actor
