Vari (or Várê, Greek: Βάρη)is a suburban community in the southwestern part of the Mesogeia plain and the southeast shoulder of the Hymettus mountain. Distance from Voula and Varkiza is 2 km each along with the blue beaches, and 4 km west of Agia Marina, and other communities of the southern suburbs. It serves access to the eastern suburbs and Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. Vari is locally known for its many taverns, the "Vlahika".
A road in 2002 linking north of Vari, south of Voula and Koropi began construction to expand to two lanes. In 2004, unofficially GR-85 from Voula to Koropi now has two lanes running southwest to northeast which access to Attiki Odos and Eleftherios Venizelos Airport which opened earlier in 2001.
