Valparaíso is Chile's fifth administrative region from north to south. It is on the same latitude as Santiago but borders with the sea.
In this region is situated the main harbor city of Chile, Valparaíso and the main beach town Viña del Mar. Administratively the Pacific Easter Island also falls under the Valparaíso Region's administration. The Juan Fernandez Islands and the Desventuradas Islands are also part of the region.
Also in this region we can find industrial sectors such as tabacco and cement. Also Oil Refinery in Con-Con and Mineral Refinery in Catemu. In the agronomical area we can find paltas, chirimoyas and flowers as the most important products.
