Username.

Welcome to Wikipedia. May I suggest that other users may feel less confused if you change your username from "I am Jack's username" to the simpler "I am Jack" -- based on your website, I think I understand why you chose the more complex formulation, but in the interests of fostering community I thought I'd offer the suggestion. Anyway, welcome! --Uncle Ed 20:42 Apr 9, 2003 (UTC) (originally at User talk:I am Jack's username)

thanks for the voluntary name change --Uncle Ed 21:00 Apr 15, 2003 (UTC)

Afrikaans.

thanks for the copy editing of my noordzee-afrikaans. I hope you dont mind if I try to write some more occasionally? I lived in Alice EC for a while but I learned little Afrikaans there. I'd love to see the afrikaans wiki take off (finally). Jcwf (nl.wikipedia), 2003-04-19t21:39z

Mahatma to Mohandas.

Jeandré, I was going through your contributions and noticed your massive Mahatma-to-Mohandas edits in multiple pages. What is the reasoning behind this change ?

While its true that Mohandas is the first name of Gandhi, he is more popular with the Mahatma name. A search on google would return 205,000 results for "Mahatma Gandhi" as opposed to 30,700 for "Mohandas Gandhi".

If correct linking was your objective, then Mahatma_Gandhi was already being redirected to Mohandas_Gandhi.

In Mumbai you have changed the name of a road by mistake. There is no "Mohandas Gandhi Road", it's "Mahatma Gandhi Road".

A discussion on Mahatma vs Mohandas is certainly needed. I've replied on Talk:Mohandas_Gandhi#Mahatma_vs_Mohandas Jay 22:58, 1 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Homepage 404.

"Jack's home page link", on your user page, doesn't seem to be pointing at anything particularly useful... —Paul A 11:19, 15 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Interlang order.

Re: [2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Wikipedia_talk:Interlanguage_links&diff=0&oldid=1798830) Feature to automatically order interlanguage links alphabetically on what is displayed: "Español | Esperanto", instead of alphabetical listing of 2-letter code ISO 639 codes: "eo es"? -- Jeandré 2003-11-24t13:59z

That's exactly what I meant. For french langage, the interwikis list looks like:
         'af','ar','ms','bs','ca','cs','cy','da','de',
         'et','el','en','es','eo','eu','fr','fy','ga',
         'gl','ko','hi','hr','id','it','ia','he','sw',
         'la','lv','lt','hu','ml','mr','nah','nl','ja',
         'no','oc','nds','pl','pt','ro','ru','sq','simple',
         'sl','sr','fi','sv','tt','vi','tr','uk','vo',
         'zh','zh-cn','zh-tw'
