Everyking is too fast for a comedian like me
So I shall retire.
Thank you for your support
Hi! thank you for your support for my admin candidacy. I have now been promoted—I hope that you will always feel that I am a responsible administrator. JeremyA 05:10, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi James: Thank you for supporting my nomination. Given your vociferous opposition to some nominations, I feel honoured to know that your support is not given lightly. --Theo (Talk) 07:19, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

David Helvarg
Hi James: After your comments on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/David Helvarg I made some changes. Do you have any other improvements to propose?—Theo (Talk) 13:03, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
A suggestion
I'm willing to put aside past disagreements we've had and give this mentorship thing a try. I hope you'll extend me, Tony and Silsor the same courtesy. I do have one suggestion, though. I think it would be a show of good faith if you toned down your complaints at the admin noticeboard. You have a right to voice your opinion, but I wish you'd read up on some of these issues before you disapprove of admin conduct. I think some people get the impression that you're complaining for its own sake, and there are often very good reasons for admin blocks and Arbcom rulings.
Anyway it's just a suggestion. I think this would do a lot to show the community that you're willing to put past disagreements behind you. I realize this is outside of the scope of the mentorship, and I'm not going to push it. Rhobite 23:21, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
what song. nt goes in the topic title.
- It was just a suggestion. Let's drop it. Rhobite 04:43, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
User:SilasSnider
You said 'I do read up. Point out a complaint you find excessive', on Rhobite's talk page under the heading 'User:SilasSnider'. I'm afraid I don't quite understand the remark. Would you mind clarifying? Thanks, Silas Snider (talk) 05:51, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
- That was totally unrelated, don't worry about it. Rhobite 06:00, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
- I thought it might have been. Thanks. Silas Snider (talk) 06:34, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
Discussion at Talk:Pakistan
Would you like to join the animated discussion on the Pakistan's talk page? The current issue is whether "Pakistan is famous for its support of Taliban and 9/11 terrorist" is a suitable sentence to start the article's first paragraph. Your contribution would be much appreciated, as the current discussion seems to be more of a dialog between Ragib and SamTr014 Talk:Pakistan. Thanks !--PrinceA 06:59, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Everyking Mentorship
The Everyking mentorship has officially been approved by the arbitration committee (see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Everyking_2#Subsequent_changes)) and is now in effect. →Raul654 05:51, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)
- To provide a central place for discussions of the mentorship, you may want to create a subpage like the one Netoholic created:
- If you prefer we could communicate by user talk pages, but I recommend Netoholic's method because it reduces talk page clutter and keeps communications focussed on the mentoring process. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 11:57, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Edit summaries
Hello, James. Would you mind putting something descriptive in the Wikipedia:Edit summary field more often in article edits? Regards, Jonathunder 22:36, 2005 Jun 19 (UTC)

QE2 VfD
Could someone who has not already participated in the debate please take a look at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Elizabeth II of Canada and determine whether or not there's a consensus. As far as I can determine, according to the consensus guideline at Wikipedia:Consensus the criteria has been met since there's a 2/3 majority to merge/redirect but since I've proposed the VfD in the first place it's apparently seen as objectionable by some for me to declare the now week old VfD closed and implement a redirect (the merge has already been done). Request for intervention
Hello, Marmot here. I have been threatened with blocking for the creation of Wikipedia:Administrators_cannot_vote, and noticed you had posted in defence of the article, or at least questioning the good faith of other admins. In the event I am blocked and the reason cited is of or relating to this matter, would you be willing to unblock the account?

Point #4 of the 4 points
"Re-elect sysops— Presently we have too many power-tripping, skull-cracking sysops. Require any sysop who is the subject of a petition with at least ten signatures to go up for re-election at the end of the year. Receiving less than a majority would mean being desysoped."
This is a great idea! The only modification I would make is "presently we have a few too many power-tripping, skull-cracking sysops - but even 'a few' are a few too many". Anybody who can't win a majority vote to retain their admin status does not deserve to be an admin. Only a small percentage of admins abuse their status, this is a good way of clearing them out. I am all behind whatever is needed to make this policy change. Ruy Lopez 02:00, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
