[1] (http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Harry_Partch): I dug up that picture out of my archives and needed to use it somewhere. The article is merely an excuse to air it... was hanging on my theory prof's door for a while. :-)

You temporarily blocked this IP last month. Apparently that had no effect on them. They have vandalized Black Death 3 times today, as well as limestone multiple times a few days ago. Do you think a long-term block is in order? One look at the talk page is enough evidence that they have a long history and cannot help his or herself. I don't know, maybe I'm jumping the gun, but we've been having lots of trouble with vandalism on Black Death recently. Thanks. --Dmcdevit 03:37, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks. In fact, before I saw your link, I didn't know how to look up IP locations. Well, good job anyway and sorry to trouble you. Carry on! --Dmcdevit 04:15, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
Lutosławski
Antandrus, I almost agree that Lutosławski is the most major figure with a tiny entry (I'd say Olivier Messiaen beats him - I intend to do him, too). But I thought I'd let you know I'm currently working on Lutosławski (might take me a couple of weeks), so we don't duplicate effort. Do you have any suggestions for where I could find non-copyright relevant Lutosławski images? Or have you got access to any? (Any ideas for Messiaen images, too, come to that?) --RobertG ♬ talk 10:19, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
Thoughts
The redlinks bit definitely ought to be expanded and set off on its own, indeed... Mindspillage (spill yours?) 15:39, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
Mozart's name
Thanks for the heads-up, Antandrus. I put in a little blurb. Cheers, Opus33 16:07, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
Dark and stormy night
Thnaks for editing Dark and stormy night. It's embarrassing that I missed all that! Twinxor 21:08, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
Best regards
No sentimentality here, Antandrus, but I recognise a cultivated, civilised individual when I meet one. You are one of the beacons of excellence at Wikipedia. My only regret in withdrawing is that I will not get to know you better. --RobertG ♬ talk 09:33, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

String quartets edits
Hi Antandrus, I'm very new to wikipedia, so have a question: how do you add the annotations to edits listed in page histories? Dcnicholls
Re: previous, solved
NFA, I found out how to to the annotations. --dcnicholls 12:48, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the Alexandr/er Taneyev information. I was about to put together a much less extensive stub. Can't afford a Grove subscription yet! --dcnicholls 01:47, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
off-topic: the road from Gaviota state beach
i hope this isn't too personal, but do you live west of Gaviota? There is this one road that parallels the railroad tracks from Gaviota west to about Sacate (a railroad spur) and we have been trying to drive it west as far as we can, but we ran into some sort of private security booth. thanks for reading this, sorry about the bad grammar, but my wikistress is slowly going up.

Sergei Taneyev merge?
Antandrus, could you take a look at the discussion on Talk:Sergei_Taneyev and Talk:List_of_string_quartets_by_Sergei_Taneyev and see if you agree with Kelly_Martin on merging? I think the string quartet list should be kept separate, not merged, but I'm not sure how to handle disagreements on Wiki. --dcnicholls 05:38, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
Eugen d'Albert
Hi! I've added some info about the composer in the article and translated the list of his works from the Polish Wikipedia. Since I neither understand Polish nor am a native English speaker, I'm not sure if I translated everything right. Could you just look trough the works to see if there are any obvious mistakes? Thank you so much!
P.S. If you're wondering why I translated something from a language that I do not understand - I should be practising the piano right now :D --Missmarple 19:02, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Thank You For Your Support
I would like to thank all of the Wikipedians who supported and/or contributed to the article Military history of Puerto Rico. Because of Wikipedians like yourself, this article was able to make featured article status. It was my goal to celebrate my first year in Wikipedia with a featured article and you all made it possible. Thank you once again Tony the Marine

ideas?
Hi, I just wanted to bring this page to your attention: Wikipedia:WikiProject Opera and in particular the discussion re. capitalization on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Opera. The more knowledgeable voices, the better. IMO, the project page would be a good place to discuss the creation opera categories before they are created, but since categories are implemented in the typically Wiki fashion of do now, fix later, this has not been the case. Saluti cordiali -- Viajero | Talk 15:17, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome!
Returning your hellos. I just wrote a paper on Der Corregidor, so I was dissapointed (if unsurprised) to find that it had no article. I did notice your edits on Chigi codex, which are, of course, much appreciated. Microtonal 08:47, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

Perfect pitch
Would you be interested in adding more content to the perfect pitch article? If time permits, I might try to edit some things and perhaps you could proofread them? Have you come across articles on Wikipedia which deal with patterns of chord progressions under Western tonality? --HappyCamper 15:24, 29 May 2005 (UTC)
ISP-numbered user
This is the person who edited the opera article this evening. As you can see, I decided to create an account. Thanks for the praise; for some reason the wikipedia has stopped crashing my browser all the time, so I might be contributing a bit to the music articles here going forward. I figure it'll help keep my mind supple over the summer. It's good to see that there's (already) an early music person on wiki, too; otherwise, that would undoubtedly be the worst-developed period. Motet without words
Greetings! Been recording some audio for bassoon (um, instead of writing more on the unfinished article), including Missing image
Josquin_Des_Prez-Tu_Pauperum_Refugium.ogg
a four-bassoon version
of Tu Pauperum Refugium. Not at all authentic—more that I wanted something not under copyright to play as a bassoon ensemble!—but as the early music guru if you can think of anywhere it might be kosher... Mindspillage (spill yours?) 17:24, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, yes... have fun at the festival; I am still jealous that you will get to hear the Nancarrow performed by players at a piano! And yes, I am all four... probably couldn't have roped enough friends into it. :-) Though I *did* just play a transcription of Brandenburg #3 for bassoon sextet tonight: helping out at Stetson's double reed camp this week. I promise not to try to add you to the list of Missing Wikipedians while you're out! Mindspillage (spill yours?) 01:46, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you! (I suspect you've caught the out-of-tune notes as well as I have, but I shan't point them out!) May do more on that in the future for my personal enjoyment, perhaps. I like the bassoon covering vocal lines; I may be biased but I believe double reeds have a good character for it. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 03:19, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Vandal
Thank you for reverting my userpage. If you look at the vandal's contributions, 198.74.20.75 (talk • contribs), you'll see that he has done nothing but vandalize in his time on wikipedia, and has decided to mount a full-out assault on my user and talk pages tonight. I would sincerely appreciate a very long block on this user. - Jersyko talk 02:41, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
Vandal
The vandal from last night is back again with a similar IP - 198.74.20.73. If he has not been blocked already, I would appreciate another block. Thanks. - Jersyko talk 19:25, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
- He was blocked for four days, thanks. - Jersyko talk 21:11, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
- Sigh, he's back. I can't find Norwest's network admin's e-mail anywhere, but maybe the whole range should be blocked? 198.74.20.74 is his curent incarnation. - Jersyko talk 22:58, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks to Boothy443, i've got norwest's network admin's e-mail. I think our friend might have been frightened by my last message to him, as his posts have become quite tame and he has stopped editing for now. I'll send an e-mail if he starts up again, no reason to block the whole company for one person's actions. Thanks for all your help. - Jersyko talk 02:56, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)</s>
- I reinstate my desire for the whole range of 198.74.20.xxx to be blocked. See 198.74.20.75, today's contributions. Thanks, i'll leave you alone about this guy. - Jersyko talk
Thank you

the perfect man))))
hi, i just read your page and thought you're the perfect person to question.
it happens i'm translating sonata but it's more and more and more sounding to me (actually totally ignorant in a serious musical field) filled with errors and repetitions....
i'm suspecting grammatical mistakes, too, but seen my english langage knowledge, i'm not going to correct them
can you please control that page and tell me something???just to confort me and take away from me that thought of an inuseful long translating work???
thanks, and please reply in my italian page (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utente:Joana)))))--joana 19:01, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC) forgot to sign....
Thanks
Thanks for the speedy revert of my userpage. --cesarb 21:35, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
reverts and warnings
Just noticed that you reverted an edit on George W Bush and warned the user involved (and beat me to the punch btw). Just wanted to remind you that it is generally nice to leave your signature on warnings using ~~~~. Keep up the good work. Jtkiefer 19:36, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)
Renaissance music
I have recently been doing some work on getting the origins and development sections of the Italian Renaissance article into shape. I feel the article is now quite good, with the important exception of the music section. I note that in the history you left a note to yourself about how you would someday like to redo this portion. - SimonP 00:40, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you immensely, that section of the article is now vastly better. - SimonP 00:23, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)
Yet more thanks!
Thanks much. It's not only good to be back, it's even better getting these nice welcomes. In fact, I've been puttering around some articles that I've been meaning to hit for a long time...and I feel great! Those trolls take their tolls, after all. Anyway, I'm as close as my talk page. You are always most welcome there. Gotta run, but I'll be back. All the best, Lucky 6.9 18:31, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
RfA thanks
I was especially pleased to receive your support for my adminship. We've crossed paths many times and I admire the work that you do. Thanks for your comments. Cheers, -Willmcw 06:49, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)
poll
Poll (Macedonian Slav or Macedonian) I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies. There is a poll in the talk page of the 'Macedonian Slavs' article here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll
Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonians without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people that _possibly_ share or represent a different point of view. Your contributions to the discussion and the poll are welcomed.
