At least put in the rest of the quote: The Egyptian public and Arabs do not need such false friendships, as demonstrated by the attacks on the Palestinian people. The "story" is covered in much more detail on Haaretz, by the way. Hajor 22:13, 10 May 2004 (UTC)

Username

You've made a lot of good contributions. Why don't you create an account? It's quick and easy, and there are a number of benefits, including quite a bit of customization as well as a watchlist that keeps track of changes to pages you're interested in. --Caliper 19:16, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your kind words. I hope that my changes help to improve Wikipedia and that over time I will improve the quality of my submissions. Rei has suggested the same course of action....normally that would be the thing to do. My response to her was:

regarding a username...you(Rei) are one of the few people i have encountered on Wikipedia that are willing to talk, discuss and consider (Uncle Ed is another). Many i have run into (Zero0000, Viajero, MyRedDice) are different in that regard....hence my IP address status...this IP that IP we are all based upon four octets equally ;)

In addition, at least one of these individuals has admin status. One of these individuals deletes material regardless of source provided it does not meet his world view. One could look at Tali Hatuel and the recently emerged Palestinian practice of filming attacks. One deletes that material (filming attacks reported by INN, NYT, Reuters for various attacks) and calls on an admin to lock his deletions in place.....a sitation that i find rather troubling.

I'll join the crowd of those who encourage you to get a nick. In addition to usual compelling arguments, sometimes you'd want to vote. Examples: VfD, Talk:Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict 2004. IPs don't count. Humus sapiensTalk 19:43, 28 May 2004 (UTC)

returned from Talk:Media coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where it was entirely off-topic.

Viajero is the canonical Wikipedia example of "to be critical of both of the Israelis and the Arabs, sceptical of the claims of all governments"...he espouses this statement at all opportunties while reverting any material that is critical of Arabs, and Palestinians in particular, in any way. Mahmoud Abbas, first Palestinian Prime Minister, makes a veiled accusation that Arafat insitgated death threats against Abbas...Zero deletes and Viajero protects the page (Yasser Arafat)...Palestinian terrorists videotapes their actions as stated in both the New York Time and Rueters the delete and protect the page team swings into action (Tali Hatuel)....surveys show that Israeli society no longer supports the Oslo Accords, Benny Morris moves with Israeli society to the new center position, delete the change, insist its a left to right wing move, and protect the page. Viajero is a Wikipedia Administrator.

Do try to stick to discussing the article. Thanks. —No-One Jones 16:32, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Don't you think the game you are playing over at Peace Now is a bit silly? You could have done me the courtesy of responding on the talk page of that article. --Woggly 14:37, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Please don't revert those changes. Firstly, it took about two weeks of heavy discussion to gain agreement on the current version. If you have a problem with that, take it to talk. Secondly, the additional text was in rather bad English. Ambivalenthysteria 13:20, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I'm not the person you need to be convincing (frankly, I could care less - I'm only involved here to try and end this dispute), but I will revert the re-addition of the photo unless you manage to convince Zero (and others) on talk. The current decision was to link to the photo, if I recall correctly. Unless you care to discuss it, that's how it stays. Ambivalenthysteria 13:25, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I've reverted your edit again. The consensus (and this included an editor who was very strongly in support of having the photo) was that it should be linked as a citation, and not shown in the main article. If you wish to convince them otherwise, please discuss it at Talk. If you have issues with Zero on the West Bank barrier article, please discuss it there. Ambivalenthysteria 13:36, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Unfortunately, due to your unwillingness to discuss your edits, I've had to request re-protection of the article. Ambivalenthysteria 13:48, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

The contributions you are making are not helpful. Please bear this in mind before making further edits. If you persist in adding point-of-view material to articles, not discussing your edits, and not abiding by consensus, you may be blocked from editing. Ambivalenthysteria 13:56, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)
