If I don't shy away from controversial topics, it is because I try to turn heat of emotions into encyclopedic light (within the framework of Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines).
About my nickname
The original idea was "homo sapiens" with a Mediterranean flavor. Only belatedly I have discovered that humus is different from the intended hummus. I am not a native speaker but I love learning.
