Valmi Dufour (born in LaSalle, now a borough of Montréal, 25 November 1981) is a University of Montréal student of linguistics currently working as a Nielsen pollster and as a guest relations representative for Montréal amusement park Six Flags La Ronde. He is not specially proud of either, and will happily drop both as he moves to Brasília on 7 July 2005. He intends to be a sort of writer/journalist when he grows up.
Dufour's numerous fields of interest include language and languages, backpacking, cooking, and cinema. He is heavily involved in the Hospitality Club project, providing free accomodation to backpackers, (http://www.hospitalityclub.org) as well as into showing humankind how important typographical syntax is, and how essential proofreading, and more specifically convincing Web developpers that hyperlinks ought to include commas and full stops immediately following them, like this. He also strongly believes in love, whatever that means.
