Hello,
I was born in France and live in Japan. My main interests are Language education, Sociology, Psychology, Buddhism and other world religions.
For some reasons I grew an interest in Tok Pisin.
I am a contributor to the Tok Pisin Wikipedia.

On December 14, 2004, I proposed a Wikimanity on the village pump (A wiki with a page for each human being).
It could be a start towards the genealogy of all humanity. Amateur genealogists, historians, geneticians may help. People who have some clues about their family may contribute.
Major problems arise with this idea:
-- Humanity (past or present) is potentialy tens of billions of people.
- Actually I think this should not be a problem since the number of contributors and the number of pages will only increase very slowly and technology will catch up.
-- Pages about ordinary people may trigger lots of problems related to privacy and accuracy. This can lead to legal suits of all sorts. They also can be used for all sorts of mischievous activities like identity theft or tracking witnesses.
- People may register in some way, and write about themselves and only about themselves. There may be a way to check for accuracy of information, even if it is not easy to think of now.
- Another idea is to limit the Wikimanity to people who passed away. Another is to limit the useable dates up to 1950 or something.
