Kaijan is a history/writing/fiction/comics/pop culture freak who also has a passion for wildlife and the outdoors (and who needs a better description very soon), and who never bothers to do much updating on this page. All the information here is horribly outdated -- I prefer to spend my Wikipedia time editing articles rather than my own page, what can I say?

These are the articles I've begun writing, plan to write, or plan to tweak a bit:
Several articles on British Columbian and Canadian history:
- Billy Barker -- A gold-miner contemporary with Gassy Jack who struck it rich and founded...
- Barkerville, BC -- A mining town, once almost-but-not-quite a ghost town, and currently an educational and entertaining tourist attraction. (This one's currently a stub, but I'm getting back to it.)
- Louis Cyr -- one of the world's strongest men in his time, he was a professional strongman around the turn of the 19th century. He's one of those colourful characters Canadian history never talks about.
- John "Gassy Jack" Deighton -- a founding father of Vancouver in the 19th century. Gastown is named after him ("gassy" meant very talkative in the Victorian era).
- Simon Fraser (explorer) -- One of BC's earliest explorers. The Fraser River and Simon Fraser University were named after him. I began this one with minimal information available, but I'd like to make it a full-fledged article.
- Gastown -- this article goes hand-in-hand with the John Deighton one.
- Prince Albert, Saskatchewan -- Another stub which needs work.
- Nell Shipman -- A "silent era" film phenomenon known as "The Girl From God's Country" (Canada), this early film star was a writer, producer, director, and actress, and she did her own stunts.
Other history-related articles
- Saint Brendan - An Irish monk who recorded a voyage to North America made in the 6th century AD.
- Henry Sinclair - A Scottish landowner who may have possibly voyaged to North America a century before Christopher Columbus, according to some theories.
Articles on literature, mythology and comics, et cetera:
- Aquaman -- Nobody likes this guy, but he's significant enough in pop culture to get his own Wikipedia entry. Hey, he's been mentioned on the Simpsons and in a Barenaked Ladies song, so... (Update: an article has been begun by User:Kchishol1970!) Kaijan 07:55, 28 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- Graustark -- A great series of novels about a fictional country written pre-World War I by the man who wrote Brewster's Millions (made into a Richard Pryor movie in the 80s).
- The Idiot, The Brothers Karamazov, and Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky -- Three brilliant novels which say so much about the human condition. The first two need good articles, and the last one needs a lot of editing and input.
- Legion of Super Heroes -- Someone else began this one, but it needs a lot of work. Another DC superhero team, this one based in the 30th century (and now the 31st, I guess).
- Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength -- C. S. Lewis's excellent Space Trilogy with synopses of each novel (the last one has been begun by others).
- Starman -- Started by someone else but needs a great deal of work. Based on a popular DC Comics series.
- Teen Titans -- A long-running DC Comics superhero team which has also recently been turned into an Animated series on the Cartoon Network.
More to come as I think of them...
Articles I've put some work into already
- El Dorado (myth) -- Basically this is just the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica entry so far. I was surprised that there was no entry for this mythical country, but only articles on the real cities named after this one. (See El Dorado.)
- Funny animal -- Created this entry, as it is somewhat different from the term Furries.
- The Incredible Hulk -- Added a paragraph of info on the supporting cast and did a bit of editing all around.
- Justice League -- I added some further history, did a lot of editing, and added an extensive members list, as well as sub-sections on the Super Friends and the current Justice League animated series.
- Justice Society of America -- I began this article on the very first super-hero team in fall, 2002, and have added a great deal more recently.
- North American birds -- A fellow bird-lover in the UK began this one, and I've added long lists of links to the main birds of North America.
- Riothamus -- Added just a little bit to this one.
- The Sandman (comics) -- One of my first de-stubbings, I added quite a bit of history of the DC Comics characters by this name.
- Sindbad the Sailor -- A figure from the Arabian Nights, this one's a work in progress. I've written a synopsis of the first voyage so far, and the rest are coming soon (I've got my fingers crossed).
- Superboy -- I'd originally added a sub-section on Superboy in the Superman article, but it was decided that Superboy deserves his own entry, as this very popular character has been treated as a separate entity from Superman and has his own fan-following independent of Superman's.
