- I can't remember why I left myself this note...
Note to others: This information is a bit out of date, except for the major contributions part.
Hi there! I'm a college student currently working towards a degree in English literature. My hobbies include video games, computer programming and web design, animation, and interesting food as my part-time budget may allow. Upon graduation later this year, I hope to become an English teacher overseas, probably in East Asia (Japan or South Korea).
Pages I have made substantial contributions to
- Para Para, the modern Japanese dance.
- Destino (original contributor!), the cartoon co-created by Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí.
- Traditional animation (original contributor!), the oldest and most popular form of animation.
- FLCL, the high-energy Japanese animated series and comic.
- Tag (original contributor!), the simple sport often played by children.
- Linguicism (original contributor... but stubby and kinda crappy), the word for prejudice based on language.
- Tank man (original contributor!), AKA Wang Weilin, the names ascribed to the protester photographed standing before a line of tanks during the Tiananmen Square protest of 1989.
- Sonoma State University (original contributor!), mine alma mater. A California State University.
- Craig McCracken (original contributor!), the animator and creator of The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home
- Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (see above)
Pages I hope to create or edit substantially in the near future
- Censorship in animation (such as WWII-era toons with offensive Japanese imagery, Speedy Gonzales, etc)
My web sites
- Animation Republic (http://www.anre.org) - General animation forums and silliness
- The Samurai Site (http://samsite.anre.org) - The net's largest Samurai Jack fan community
- Over-Analyzing FLCL (http://oaf.anre.org) - The site that thinks way too much about FLCL
