User:Diberri/Work in progress

Every now and then, I take on a few tasks that require several days of work. Having apparently exhausted my working memory resources, I've decided to dump my work in progress here, lest I forget what I should be doing tomorrow...

Image copyright tags

I've been doing some minor work adding copyright tags to untagged images at User:Yann/Untagged Images. Some useful stuff:

WikiProject Clinical medicine

Though I'm not a physician, I would like to see a vast improvement of the medical topics covered by WP. Jfdwolff introduced the WikiDoc project (now WikiProject Clinical medicine), which aims to do just that. The first stage of work is apparently navigational, and includes that insertion of a "blue box" (via {{medicine}}) into medical pages to tie them together.

Similar blue boxes are needed for articles in the basic sciences, anatomy, physiology, etc., so I'll be adding them soon. I'll start with some basic organ systems:

System MediaWiki page Wikitext
Human organ systems Template:Organ systems {{organ systems}}
Cardiovascular system Template:Cardiovascular system {{cardiovascular system}}
Digestive system Template:Digestive system {{digestive system}}
Endocrine system Template:Endocrine system {{endocrine system}}
Immune system Template:Immune system {{immune system}}
Integumentary system Template:Integumentary system {{integumentary system}}
Lymphatic system Template:Lymphatic system {{lymphatic system}}
Muscular system Template:Muscular system {{muscular system}}
Nervous system Template:Nervous system {{nervous system}}
Reproductive system Template:Reproductive system {{reproductive system}}
Urinary system Template:Urinary system {{urinary system}}

(If you have particularly strong convictions for or against the addition of these elements, please leave a message for me on my talk page.) These should appear on Wikipedia:MediaWiki custom elements when complete.

On a related note, Fuelbottle has done some great work in creating blue boxes for organs themselves. So now, organs like the pituitary gland get their own article series box footer. Fuelbottle's ASB work can be seen at User:Fuelbottle/footers and User:Fuelbottle/boxtest.

Miscellaneous

  • Deleted Image:Corpse painting example.jpg (the actual) page, when I should have only deleted the image itself. If this is a problem, list the page on WP:VFU. (01:01, Aug 9, 2004 (UTC))
  • Requested permission to use image of a Canadian $20 bill with a picture of Moraine Lake on its reverse. Photo is available here (http://www.gshtx.org/en/art/?articleid=18). 08:18, Aug 28, 2004 (UTC)
