Tanana is a city located in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city is 308.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 40.4 km² (15.6 mi²). 29.9 km² (11.6 mi²) of it is land and 10.4 km² (4.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 25.80% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 308 people, 121 households, and 68 families residing in the city. The population density is 10.3/km² (26.6/mi²). There are 166 housing units at an average density of 5.5/km² (14.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 17.86% White, 79.87% Native American, and 2.27% from two or more races. 0.65% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
