Starmie is a fictional character in the Pokémon franchise. It is the evolved form of Staryu. In the Pokémon anime, Misty has a Starmie on her team as well as a Staryu.
Name Origin
"Starmie" probably comes from the words "star" and "me." Together, the two's names can be seen as, "Star you? Star me!"
Super Smash Bros. Melee Information
Starmie appears in the video game Super Smash Bros. Melee. In the game, when it is released from a Poké Ball, it hangs in midair, attacking the enemy with Hydro Pump (was originally thought by fans to be Swift, but as it resembles blasts of water instead of stars, this has since been disproved).
