Springfield Ozark Mountain Ducks
|
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks are an independent league baseball team that previously played in Ozark, Missouri, a suburb of Springfield. The team was a member of the Central Baseball League and was independent of any affiliation with a Major League Baseball team.
The team played in Price Cutter Park.
The Mountain Ducks folded after the 2004 season. On August 24, the St. Louis Cardinals announced that they had purchased the El Paso Diablos, a team in the Class AA Texas League, and would move the team to Hammons Field, a newly built ballpark in Springfield. The Diablos have become the Springfield Cardinals.Template:Baseball-stub
